EDI Annual Seminar

Engineering Dynamics Incorporated will present their next seminar on June 9-13, 2008.

The EDI seminar is intended for engineers and technicians who must make decisions about the reliability and safety of systems experiencing high vibrations. The seminar covers the latest design procedures for ensuring acceptable dynamic design characteristics of machinery and piping. Procedures are presented for rotordynamic evaluation of turbines and compressors to confirm compliance with API specifications.

If you work with ...

  • Reciprocating Compressors and Pumps
  • Centrifugal Compressors and Pumps
  • Pulsation Design/Performance Evaluation
  • Piping Vibrations/Stress Analysis
  • Turbine, Motor, and Engine Drives
  • Gear Boxes/Variable Frequency Drives
  • Foundations and Structure Vibrations
  • Fans, Blower & Screw Machines
  • Vibration Diagnostics/Computer Monitoring Systems

... our seminar will help you understand the fundamentals of machinery and piping vibrations and assist you in determining their safety and reliability.

Participants receive :

  • 2.8 CEU's (Continuing Education Units) for satisfactory completion of the course
  • Two seminar manuals, which discuss the theory and methods available to analyze various vibration problems
  • Case histories and "rules of thumb" that can be used to quickly evaluate vibrations and machine designs

The seminar is presented by experienced EDI staff who routinely troubleshoot vibration and failure problems in reciprocating and rotating machinery, piping, structures, as well as evaluating machinery and structures.
